Breastfeeding A to Z

How Often Is Your Baby Eating? 2 Months

Baby usually still needs to eat at least 8 times in 24 hours to be gaining weight.

You might be starting to have one longer stretch of sleep during the day.  If your baby has one, it may not always be at night time, when you’d like to be sleeping, but the pattern of one longer stretch of sleep, is usually starting to emerge.

You have experienced at least one, probably two, growth spurts.  One around 2 weeks of age, another about 5-6 weeks.  The next one will be coming around 3 months of age.  Growth spurts are often a time babies change their feeding patterns.  Remember this is normal.
